Delivering MBTI – Your team and personal profiles
The Myers Briggs Personality Test provides an enjoyable and highly effective opportunity to create a better team-working environment.
Each delegate completes an online questionnaire – this usually takes around 15 minutes – approximately a week before delivery of their MBTI team building day and session.
On-site delivery is usually from 10:00–14:00 with a brief lunch break, although session times can vary depending on your numbers and preferences.
During the day we introduce delegates to MBTI and explain the personality preferences before handing out individual reports for analysis. We then reveal the team profile we have prepared for discussion around the impact of preferences on team dynamics.
The Impellus MBTI sessions includes a comprehensive explanation of background and theory, individual profile reports, team analysis and facilitated discussion. Results and team analysis records are maintained securely online for you too providing an invaluable senior management and HR tool.

What is the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)?
MBTI is one of the most trusted psychometric tools in the world, allowing a powerful and accurate insight in to how people perceive the world and make decisions. The initial MBTI questionnaire was first published in 1962 following extensive research by Isabel Briggs Myers and her mother Katherine Cook Briggs building upon Carl Jung’s ‘theory of psychological types’.
The Myers Briggs Personality Test continues to be used globally by organisations of all sizes to improve the effectiveness of individual and team performance through understanding of preferences.

Everyone has a natural preference for one of the two opposites on each of the four dichotomies (the term dichotomy has specific meaning to MBTI; no type is better or worse than another, it simply demonstrates that we prefer to use particular types over others that come more naturally to us).
This is a very useful tool for organisations as it provides an opportunity for managers and staff to identify strengths and weakness in their teams and allows people to engage in personal development to improve skills and ability in different situations.
